How is age calculated?
Age is calculated by finding the difference between your birth date and today's date. The calculator counts complete years, then remaining months, then remaining days. For example, if you were born on March 15, 2000, and today is May 20, 2024, you are 24 years, 2 months, and 5 days old.
Why does my age in days seem high?
Total days is the complete number of days you've been alive, including all years. For example, a 25-year-old has lived approximately 9,125 days (25 × 365.25). The calculator shows exact days accounting for leap years, which is why the number can seem surprisingly large.

Why can't I enter a future date?
The calculator only accepts past dates because you can't calculate age for someone not yet born. If you're trying to calculate age at a future date, you would need a different tool (age at specific date calculator). This tool calculates your current age from birth date to today.
How do I calculate age difference between two people?
To calculate age difference, use the calculator for each person separately and compare the results. Subtract the younger person's total days from the older person's total days, then divide by 365.25 to get the age difference in years.
