FAQs
What social media platforms are supported?
We support 8 major platforms: Instagram (6 sizes), Facebook (5 sizes), Twitter/X (3 sizes), LinkedIn (4 sizes), YouTube (3 sizes), TikTok (2 sizes), and Pinterest (4 sizes). Each platform has multiple image types including posts, stories, covers, profiles, and more.
What's the difference between Fill, Fit, and Stretch modes?
Fill mode crops your image to fill the entire canvas while maintaining aspect ratio (recommended for most uses). Fit mode shrinks your image to fit inside the canvas and adds padding (choose background color). Stretch mode ignores aspect ratio and stretches the image to fill the canvas (may distort image).
What are the Instagram image sizes?
Instagram Post Square: 1080×1080px (1:1), Portrait: 1080×1350px (4:5), Landscape: 1080×566px (1.91:1), Story/Reel: 1080×1920px (9:16), Profile Picture: 320×320px (1:1). These are the optimal sizes for best quality on Instagram.
Can I resize one image for multiple platforms?
Yes! Upload your image once, then switch between platforms to select sizes from each. You can select sizes from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms all in one session, then download all resized images at once.
Which resize mode should I use?
Use Fill mode (default) for most social media images - it crops your image to perfectly fill each size while maintaining quality. Use Fit mode if you want to show the entire image without cropping (adds padding). Avoid Stretch mode unless you specifically need to ignore aspect ratio.
What format are the downloaded images?
All images are downloaded as high-quality JPEG files (95% quality) with descriptive filenames like 'instagram-post-square-1080x1080.jpg'. JPEG is the best format for social media as it balances quality and file size.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No! All image resizing happens entirely in your browser using Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
Can I use this for business/commercial purposes?
Yes! This tool is completely free for personal and commercial use. Resize images for your business social media accounts, client projects, marketing campaigns, or any other purpose without restrictions.
Why do I need different sizes for social media?
Each social media platform has specific optimal image dimensions for different content types (posts, stories, covers, etc.). Using the correct sizes ensures your images look professional, aren't cropped incorrectly, and display at the highest quality on each platform.
